Aunt Ebe comes through once again…
I feel a deep connection with the ocean, specifically Pt. Pleasant Beach in New Jersey. I have so many fond memories of my Great Aunt Ebe who had a cottage there. She graciously and lovingly was a huge part of my life and so I was not surprised when she appeared along with my Mother Alice at my first psychic reading with Robyn DeVoist.
This past Sunday as I was driving to the Finger Lakes School of Massage in Ithaca, New York, for my final Reiki Master Teacher certification class I asked the universe to show me a sign that I was on the right path with this training and my dreams of pursuing an LMT (Massage Therapy License) to gain a better understanding of the body/mind/spirit connection when working with energy therapies.
As an assignment, Hallie Sawyers, my Reiki teacher, asked each student to collect 21 rocks, infuse them with Reiki for 7 days, and then to disperse them, 1 each for 21 days to honor Mikao Usui’s spiritual pilgrimage to Mount Kurama, (during which he received enlightenment and the system of Reiki). I do love rocks however felt more compelled to count out 21 shells from a bag of treasures, a childhood collection, from Risden’s Beach in Point Pleasant.
On Sunday as we went round the room to talk of our experiences I mentioned the shells from Point Pleasant Beach. At our first break one of the other students in the class came up to me and with an unmistakable Long Island accent, much like a Jersey accent, told me how he would often go to Point Pleasant Beach with friends as a kid.
Ahhh!!!! Those synchronistic somethings that keep me smiling! Thank You Aunt Ebe!
